New Hair

Ok, so it is not like me to post a picture of myself but I have family in Portland that wants to see my new hair. I have been wanting to do something new for a while it was just a matter of taking the time to find a new hairdresser and figuring out what I wanted to do. Michael said that he liked the look of highlights, which I thought was so cute. I told him that it costs money and not just once but that I would have to keep up on it. He said that was totally fine if that is what I wanted to do. So, I decided to go to a gal who my friend goes to and I just loved her. I have never done anything to my hair except cut it so she had fun coloring my "virgin hair" as she put it. I am very happy with it and Michael likes it too! Michael and I are headed to the beach tomorrow morning for a night without the boys. We are excited to get away for a little while and the boys are excited to spend some time with our sweet friend Kelly. Have a great weekend everyone!

Snow Day!

I love it when it snows! I am like a little kid always looking out the window to see how hard its coming down and if it is sticking. It started yesterday about 1:00 and did not stop until the early evening. We were supposed to have an event at church last night but had to cancel due to the weather. Michael and I had to call the people who were supposed to come to the event so we bundled the boys up and headed out for an adventure. Logan thought it was so fun to drive around in so much snow. When we got home it was outside to play. Logan had a blast but Luke was not so sure. I think it was hard for him to walk so he got frustrated. We woke up this morning and it was beautiful as all the snow was still here. Daddy did not have to go to work so we bundled up again and went for a walk. It was so much fun and nice to have a morning with the family. I am hoping that it snows again tonight!

Gettin Dirty!

It is such a beautiful day today but it is soooo cold. Logan was begging to go outside at 8 this morning but since both boys were up at 5:20 this morning 8 was not an unreasonable request because we had already been up half the day, right? I told him we had a few jobs to get done and then we could bundle up and head out. It really was so nice to be outside in the fresh air and the boys had a blast playing out there. Luke and I headed in before brother because the little guy was getting cold and fussy. Logan wanted to stay out and plant a garden. I looked out and you know how your first thought is "oh, you are going to get so dirty!" I almost actually stopped him from what he was doing and then thought, what am I doing he is having so much fun and what's a little dirt! So now they are both down for a nap and hopefully the combination of getting up so early and the fresh air will make for a great nap.

Another Monday

It is so amazing to me how fast the weeks fly by and then we are all of a sudden at Monday again. Well, it is a beautiful day here today just a great way to start the week. Our weekend was a good one. Friday I had a wonderful day to myself and Daddy had a great time with the boys in Rocky Point. Sorry there are no pictures of there adventure because although there was a lot of snow it has been sooooo cold and there was a thick layer of ice over the snow so they did not get to get out and play in it. The boys did great and they were back on Saturday morning ready to spend time with mommy. I have been struggling with Logan and the way that he acts with me but Michael said he was just perfect for him. Then of course I wonder "what is wrong with me and why does he act up so much for his mommy?" I spoke with a dear friend on Sunday and she reminded me that this is so normal. She said "Sarah, we tend to treat our husbands differently than any one else, and that is because we are comfortable with them so same goes for our little ones, and you are doing a good job!" It was good to get some perspective because I tend to be so hard on myself and think that I am just a horrible mother. But, I also know that there are some things that I need to start cracking down on and that is always hard but I know much needed. So, here we go to start another week with not much going on just our little routine and trying some new things to fill up our days. Hope you all have a blessed week.

A Day to Myself

I have such a wonderful husband! He left this morning and took the boys for an overnighter. Michael's dad lives in Rocky Point which is between here and Klamath Falls. They have a beautiful cabin so Daddy decided to go and spend some time with his boys. I got them out the door about 9 and then I crawled back in bed! Wow, when was the last time that I got to do that? Oh, maybe before I had kids. So now I have crawled out of bed and what shall I do? Maybe take a looooong shower with no one trying to climb in. Then maybe go do a little shopping. It is so nice not to have an agenda but just do whatever. Then this evening I am excited to spend some time with some of my best girlfriends watching a movie. Bye for now I am headed off!

Fun Mornings

Don't you just love the days when there is no fighting and big brother plays so nicely with his little brother. Logan was pretending to go camping and he wanted Luke to join him. It sure makes the days start out a lot nicer when things go this way.

HELLO BLOGGING WORLD!!

Well, here I am. My friends have been bugging me forever to get a blog going so I guess it is about time that I do just that. It probably will not be anything fancy for a while until they give me a lesson on how to make things look good. But in all my spare time I guess I can play around with it, he he. Bless you all and may you have a wonderful week. Thought I would put a picture of the boys just to see if I could do it.
